Iliza ( Bulgarian Илица ) is next to Sotutschino (Сотучино) one of the two districts of the village of Gavril Genowo (Гаврил Геново) in the municipality of Georgi Damjanowo (Георги Дамяново). It is located in the Danube Plain in the Montana Oblast in northwestern Bulgaria at an altitude of about 219 meters above sea level.
Until 1934 the village was called Sarbljaniza (Сърбляница; alternatively transcribed Serbljanica / Srbljanica). From 1934 after the putsch in Bulgaria by the right-wing national organization Zveno under the leadership of Kimon Georgiev and the administrative reform that he radically implemented in the same year, the place officially bears the name Iliza. In 1955, Iliza was merged with the then equally independent village of Sotuchino (Сотучино).
