Ilya Borisovich Moschtschanski

Ilja Borissowitsch Moschtschanski ( Russian Илья Борисович Мощанский , scientific transliteration Il'ja Borisovič Moščanskij ; born April 26, 1969 in Moscow ) is a Russian military historian , expert on the history of military equipment and land operations of the Great Patriotic War .

Life

Moshchanski graduated from the Andropov Higher Military Political School for Air Defense in Leningrad from 1990 . From 1990 to 1994 he served in the troops of strategic missile defense. This was followed by a visit to the humanistic academy of the Soviet armed forces until 1997. In 2000 he graduated under Professor RM Timoschew with his doctoral thesis "The Epistemological and Axiological Function of Military Symbolism" at the Military Academy for the first degree of candidate in philosophical science . He is a colonel in the reserve and editor-in-chief of the magazine "Military Chronicle" and the Moscow Vetsche publishing house. He teaches war history and operational leadership at the Moscow Military University.

The author of over 200 non-fiction books on military history, he is currently the leading expert on the history of ground operations and armored weapons.
