The Illsee is a reservoir in the canton of Valais in Switzerland and belongs to the municipality of Leuk . It is located about 5 km southeast of Sierre at 2360 m above sea level. M. and has an area of 0.21 km².
Only part of the water inflow is natural, i.e. meltwater and rainwater, the greater part is pumped from the Turtmänna into the lake via Oberems VS. As a result, the lake is part of the power plant of the former Illsee Turtmann AG, since the fall of the water rights in 2007, today's Argessa AG.
