Ilosaarirock is a rock - festival in Finland on the island Ilosaari near Joensuu . The festival has been held annually in June or July since 1971. As in the previous ten years, the Ilosaarirock was already sold out in 2007 with 21,000 visitors.
Bands
Metal and rock bands such as Nightwish , Comeback Kid , HIM , Opeth , Porcupine Tree , Soilwork , Hatebreed , Eläkeläiset , Children of Bodom and The Darkness have performed at the festival in recent years .
