Going it alone is a German television series that was produced for Sat.1 in 2012 and 2013 . It was discontinued after two episodes.

The lawyers Maria Schwadorf and Dr. Georg Actis are not only the best in their field, they also have an affair with each other. But one day Maria wants more than just sex, and there is a heated argument with Actis. Thereupon they separate, Actis throws Maria out of the common office and Maria creates a momentous accident. Since then she has been in a wheelchair. She is fighting her way back to her job, even though Actis has already sidelined her.
In her first case, she has to help Bruno Schramm bring a clinic scandal to light. Because Bruno's wife died giving birth to their child and Actis represents the chief physician in charge, Dr. Frank. So it comes to a duel between the two in court. She receives support from her physiotherapist Matthias, with whom she begins a love affair, and from Arndt Bökel, who has passed two state exams.
In the second case, she must first represent Actis, who is charged with sexual assault, rape and assault by his casual lover Vivian. Actis offers Maria to take her back into his office, but she refuses. It quickly turns out that Actis is innocent. When Actis defended the real culprit, Senator Dr. Ertel, stands, Maria takes over the mandate for the victim Vivian and both face each other again in court. After Actis is almost successful in exposing the victim's nymphomaniac inclinations in court, Maria, with the help of Actis and Ertel's wives, Dr. To get Ertel to confess.
Production and broadcast
The first film The Hour of the Crows was produced from March 22nd to April 20th, 2011 in Berlin. It was broadcast on February 21, 2012. The second film, Elements of Doubt , was produced between July 24 and August 21, 2012. The film premiered on February 19, 2013. Due to the comparatively low audience, Sat.1 decided not to produce any further episodes in the series.
