history

The company was founded in Mackenbach in 1946 by Friedolin and Ludwig Imfeld, grandfather and father of the current owner, Frank Imfeld . Miners from the region were initially transported to the pits in the Saar district in a bus that they had assembled themselves from individual parts . In the early 1950s, the company also got into travel.

In 1975 the company moved to a new, 20,000 square meter depot in Landstuhl . The company has been owned by Frank Imfeld since 1991.

In 2012 Imfeld won two of the three lots in the tender for the Neustadt line bundle of the VRN and has been serving lines in the Neustadt / Weinstraße area since then . Other bus lines are being commissioned by other bus companies. a. Saar-Palatinate bus and Rhine-Neckar bus services.

Imfeld currently operates around 100 buses. In addition to the depot in Landstuhl, there is another facility in Neustadt / Weinstrasse .
