The Immalanjärvi [ imːɑlɑnjærvi ] is a lake in southeastern Finland . It is located directly on the border with Russia , northeast of the city of Imatra .
Immalanjärvi consists of a larger open lake area and two bays, with a total area of 19.96 km².
Thanks to its good water quality, the lake offers good fishing grounds. A total of 18 species of fish live in Immalanjärvi. The most important catch is whitefish ( muikku ).
