Immermann Society

The Immermann-Gesellschaft eV is a literary group dedicated to maintaining the cultural heritage of the poet Carl Leberecht Immermann . It was founded in 1990 in Magdeburg , the poet's birthplace. The society has (2005) over 72 members in various countries, including Japan . The chairman was Professor Peter Hasubek from Göttingen from 1992 to 2008 . The company emerged from a circle of friends Carl Leberecht Immermann , which had existed since 1983 .

The society organizes readings, lectures, discussions and exhibitions and promotes research and publications on Immermann.
