Immodesty Blaize (* 1978 in Hitchin , United Kingdom as Kelly Fletcher ) is an internationally performing British burlesque dancer. In June 2007 she was voted Miss Exotic World 2007 in Las Vegas .

Life

Although she originally worked in television productions, for example she won a prize for directing a commercial for the Nobel Prize ceremony, she began performing burlesque in the mid-1990s. She says about this time: “I really worked in a vacuum. Few people knew what it was and it was hard work convincing them that I was no ordinary stripper ”. Blaize performed in small underground clubs in the early years of her career. She is considered to be one of the initiators of the revival of the burlesque scene. In 2003 she ended her work as a producer and director in the advertising industry and concentrated exclusively on appearances as a burlesque artist and moved the genre into attention with some highly regarded appearances from the subculture of the general public.

She is often referred to as the undisputed queen of British burlesque or Britain's best showgirl . Blaize brought burlesque back to the historic Windmill Theater after 30 years and took on the lead role in the West End show Burlesque , known in the UK from television interviews such as the BBC Women's Hour or documentaries.

In addition to appearances at events such as Christian Dior , Cartier , Ascot Racecourse and others, she has appeared many times on British television and on stages:
