history

The ImpressCMS project was founded at the end of 2007 as a spin-off from the Xoops community. Many ImpressCMS developers are veteran developers, designers and users with extensive Xoops knowledge who are keen to foster a new community and build ImpressCMS. The core of the ImpressCMS platform was inherited from Xoops, but is different from the actual parent. However, it ensures that modules and design from the original core from Xoops continue to work.
