Ina Balke

Ina Balke (* 1937 ) is a former German photo model from the 1950s and 1960s .

Career

As a child, she and her mother were first evacuated from Berlin to Poland and from there fled to Germany in 1945. Before her modeling career, Balke was a photo lab technician.

Ina Balke was discovered by the German fashion photographer Walter E. Lautenbacher . Balke became Lautenbacher's muse and long-time lover, he promoted her and made her known to the public through his work. The important German fashion photographer Regina Relang also worked a lot and often with Balke. After the elections for "Miss Regensburg" and "Miss Incredible", Balke became the best known and most photographed German model of her time in the following years. She worked successfully in Paris and New York and achieved world fame. They became the first German and only the second non-among other US American official brand ambassador for the cosmetics - brand Revlon .

After separating from Lautenbacher, Balke became the lover of French photographer Jeanloup Sieff .

The photographers Lautenbacher, Relang and Sieff are considered key figures in Balke's career, as they made a significant contribution to her success.
