Inchicore
Inchicore ( Irish Ins Chór ) is a district of the Irish capital Dublin .
location
The village is south of the River Liffey in the west of Dublin. Inchicore was originally a village outside the city, but was encircled by the expanding capital over a hundred years ago. Nevertheless Inchicore has been able to retain its village character to this day. To the west of the village is the Grand Canal , a shipping lane from the 18th century and the Luas , the modern counterpart from the 21st century. To the north, between Inchicore and Phoenix Park, is Memorial Park , which was built as a memorial to those who died in both World Wars.
