India Hair (* 1987 in Saumur ) is a French actress .

Life

Hair was born in 1987 to an American and a British woman in Saumur , Maine-et-Loire . Already during her school days in Nantes she played theater and studied literature intensively. From 2005 to 2007 she attended the Conservatory in Nantes and then until 2010 the Conservatoire national supérieur d'art dramatique in Paris, where she studied with Dominique Valadié , Alain Françon and Philippe Torreton , among others .

Hair had already written and shot her first short film Coupée en trois in 2005 . Further appearances in short films, including Vue subjective (2007) and Awa (2008), followed before she received her first supporting role in Raphaël Jacoulot's thriller Avant l'aube in 2011 . Noémie Lvovsky cast her in the youth film Camille - Verliebt wieder! in a leading role. In 2013 she received a César nomination for her performance in the category of Best Young Actress and won a Prix ​​Lumières for Best Young Actress .
