Indian Institute of Management
Indian Institute of Management (IIM) is the name of six business schools in India . These colleges only teach postgraduate students.
In descending order of foundation: Kolkata ( IIMC ) - 1961, Ahmedabad ( IIMA ) - 1961, Bangalore ( IIMB ) - 1973, Lucknow ( IIML ) -1984, Kozhikode ( IIMK ) - 1996, Indore ( IIMI ) - 1998th
The IIMs are colleges of national importance, alongside the Indian Institute of Technology (engineering and technology), Indian Institute of Science (natural science), Indian Statistical Institute , National Law School of India University (law), and All India Institute of Medical Sciences (medicine) are often considered to be the elite universities in the country. The oldest three of the IIMs are now among the leading business schools in Asia.
