Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra

The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra from Indianapolis is one of the seventeen great professional orchestras in the USA. It organizes 25 subscription symphony concerts (usually repeated three times) per season. There are also other events such as opera performances, but also a very successful pop series (with Broadway and film music ). His world-famous music education program for children is unusual .

From 2002 to 2009 Mario Venzago was the orchestra's chief conductor. Since September 2011 the Polish conductor Krzysztof Urbański has been the music director.
