Industrial density

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The industrial density of an area (e.g. municipality , district or state ) is calculated from the number of employees in industrial companies per 1,000 inhabitants.

In contrast to population density , for example, industrial density is not related to area, but to people.

Examples

Bavaria's industrial density decreased from 99 to 91 between 2000 and 2009.

The individual regions and administrative districts also had decreasing industrial density values. Nevertheless, Upper Franconia still has the second highest industrial density in Europe.
