Ines Brodbeck

Ines Brodbeck (* 1981 in Arlesheim ) is a Swiss singer- songwriter and percussionist with Cuban roots who merges “influences from jazz , pop, folk and South American traditions into filigree, atmospheric songs”.
Life
Ines Brodbeck grew up in a family of musicians; she began playing the violin at the age of seven and had classical piano lessons. She later discovered the guitar. In 2010 she completed her studies with a master’s degree at the University of Music Basel , Jazz department. She studied u. a. with Julio Barreto , Willy Kotoun , Andi Pupato , Malcolm Braff and with Abraham Mansfaroll in Havana , Cuba.
Brodbeck works as a musician in various theater projects. She leads her own band INEZ, with whom she released three albums. She is also a member of Jaro Milko and the Cubalkanics.
