Infinite Defilement is an Australian brutal death metal and deathgrind project from Melbourne that was founded in 2007. The headquarters are now in Byron Bay .

history

Infinite Defilement is the solo project of the musician Jacob Smith, founded at the end of 2007. In 2008 there was the first sign of life in the form of the demo Promo 2008 , which consists of four songs, before the debut album Disgorging Humanity was released in 2009 on the Texan label Deformed Fetus Productions . The project then went into a four-year break. In 2015 the album Destroyer of All Things was released via Rotten Music .

style

Brian Giffin assigned the project to Brutal Death Metal in his Encyclopedia of Australian Heavy Metal . Michel Renaud from metalcrypt.com wrote in his review of the split release with Egemony and Flesh Impaled that it was Deathgrind, although the Grindcore portion predominated somewhat. The guttural singing of Smith was in the process very deep and monotonous. Andy Christos of brutalism.com stated in his review of the split release with Perverted Dexterity that Smith played classic, occult , brutal death metal on it , using deep guttural vocals, blastbeats and double bass .
