Infinitus

Infinitus is the world's largest inkjet printer and is a special form of large format printer . It was developed and built by students at the TU Berlin in cooperation with the manufacturer Big Image Systems . It can print lengths of fabric up to twelve meters wide and 50 m long.

It is located near the UFA film studios in Babelsberg .

Purposes

The large-format prints for film sets , stage sets , exhibition banners and screenshots used. For the film Habemus Papam , for example, the complete interior view of the Sistine Chapel was printed out on sheets of fabric, as the chapel itself was not available for filming.
