The IT Center for the State Administration of Baden-Württemberg ( IZLBW ), based in Stuttgart, was the service provider for information and communication technology (IuK) in the state administration . When it was dissolved in July 2015, around 300 people were employed at the IZLBW.

Products

The services offered by the IZLBW include the control and monitoring of client-server systems , network services for voice and data transmission, and the development and operation of specialist applications for administrative tasks . It also operated a data center for process operations. One of the main tasks was customer-oriented user support together with specialist staff from the administrative areas in charge. Together with the logistics center Baden-Württemberg , it was also responsible for the central procurement of ICT for the state administration of Baden-Württemberg.

The Informatikzentrum Landesverwaltung Baden-Württemberg (IZLBW) was established by a resolution of the Council of Ministers of December 14, 2004 with effect from January 1, 2005 as the legal successor to the Center for Communication Technology and Data Processing (ZKD). Like the ZKD before, the IZLBW was run as an institution under public law and state operations (Section 26 LHO) in the business area of ​​the Ministry of the Interior. In addition to the former ZKD, it performed the tasks of the Information Technology Center of the Cultural Administration (IFK) and Section 102 of the Stuttgart Regional Council, which is responsible for the specialist procedures of the pension administration.

The IZLBW was dissolved on July 1, 2015 as part of the IT reorganization in the state. Since then, the new higher regional IT authority in Baden-Württemberg ( BITBW ) has performed the previous tasks of the IZLBW.
