Inge Görmer , (born April 11, 1934 ) is a former German speed skater who took part in numerous national and international competitions between 1953 and 1960.

Inge Görmer took part in an international championship five times. At the World Cup , she took part four times as an East German (1956, 1957, 1958 and 1959); as a member of the all-German team , she took part in the Olympic Winter Games ( 1960 ).

In her international debut at the World Championships Allround 1956 she was 10th, at the World Championships Allround 1957 15th and at the World Championships Allround 1958 she came in 15th and had her best performance over 1500 m and 300 m with two fifth places. The 1960 Winter Olympics probably did not bring Inge Görmer what she expected: a 16th place over 1500 m and 13th place over 3000 m.

Successes (selection)

  • Her best finish at the Olympic Games was a 13th place over 3000 meters in 5: 37.5 minutes in Squaw Valley .
  • At the all-round world championships in 1958, she achieved a 7th place in the mini four-way fight.
  • Between 1953 and 1960 Inge Görmer was subscribed to second place at the National Championships, only after Margit Grobe , and later Helga Haase was too fast for her.
