Inge Niedek

Inge Niedek (* 1955 in Cologne ) is a German meteorologist .

Life

Inge Niedek studied meteorology at the Free University of Berlin and then completed a postgraduate course in aerospace engineering at the Technical University of Berlin .

Since 1988 she has created and presented the weather reports in the ZDF news programs . In addition, she was co-founder and for many years a member of the management of the weather company Meteo Consult and acted as a member of the board of directors and for three years as President of the IABM (International Association of Broadcast Meteorology). Inge Niedek is also a member of the scientific advisory board of the German Committee for Disaster Reduction .

She is married and lives in Berlin .

On February 21, 2014, she was awarded the German Bicycle Prize in the category “most bicycle-friendly personality” for her participation in the city cycling campaign.
