Inge Thulin

Inge Thulin (born November 9, 1953 in Malmö ) is a Swedish-American businessman. Since February 24, 2012 he has been President and CEO and since May 2012 Chairman of the Board of the multi-technology company 3M , headquartered in Saint Paul , Minnesota .

Life

Inge Thulin studied at the University of Gothenburg , the IHM Business School and the School of Economics and Commercial Law in Sweden. He holds degrees in Economics and Marketing (1978) from the University of Gothenburg.

In 1979 he began his career with the US company 3M , where he has held numerous international management positions to this day.

In February 2012, Thulin was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of 3M company, replacing George W. Buckley , who retired on June 1, 2012. Thulin has also been chairman of the supervisory board since May 2012.
