Inge Zankl

Inge Zankl (born May 11, 1947 in Vienna ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). From 1991 to 2010 she was a member of the Vienna state parliament and municipal council .

Inge Zankl was already involved in the SPÖ during her school days and was a member of the Association of Socialist Middle School Students. After graduating from high school in 1965, she joined the SPÖ and worked in Meidling's district policy (Section 22). Zankl is currently the section chairman and chairwoman of the Meidlinger women. Zankl was a member of the district council between 1980 and 1991 and in 1997 switched to the Vienna state parliament and municipal council as a member. She held this position until 2010. Zankl was a member of the “Culture and Science” committee and the sub-committee for naming traffic areas. Her political focus is according to her own statements in the field of culture.

Zankl is married and has two sons.
