Ingeborg Scheerer is a German violinist.

Ingeborg Scheerer studied with Max Rostal and Sándor Végh in Cologne and Düsseldorf and from 1974 worked as concertmaster at the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie , the Deutsche Kammerakademie Neuss and the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen .

Her preoccupation with historical performance practice led to the founding of the Johann Christian Bach Academy in 1991 , which she directed together with the organist Johannes Geffert until 2007 . After the dissolution of this ensemble, she founded the ensemble “Concerto Con Anima” in 2007, for which she works as concertmaster and artistic director and which would like to open up to a musical program that extends beyond the baroque repertoire. She appears both as a soloist and as an orchestral teacher, for example as a lecturer in the Federal Youth Orchestra .

Since 2001 Ingeborg Scheerer has been professor for violin at the Cologne University of Music , Wuppertal, member of Camerata Cologne and Primaria of the Pleyel Quartet Cologne .
