Ingo Wolf (basketball player)

Ingo Wolf (born February 11,  1965 in Berlin ) is a former German basketball player .

career

Wolf, an 8-foot indoor player, was a member of the Florida Atlantic University team in the United States from 1988 to 1990 . In the 1988/89 game year he managed 22 blocks, which, together with his teammate Ray Schultz, was the highest number in the Florida Atlantic lineup this season. In the 1989/90 season he posted the maximum rebound value within the team (7.7 per encounter), and with his 39 opposing throws blocked, he was in first place within the team this season.

In the final stages of the 1989/90 season he moved from Florida to Steiner Bayreuth in the basketball league . Wolf reached the final series of the German championship with Upper Franconia, where Bayer Leverkusen had to be defeated. He also played for Bayreuth in the 1990/91 season, including in the European Cup. Wolf later worked for Alba Berlin and the BG Ludwigsburg . In addition, there were further assignments in European club competitions.

From 1999 to 2003 Wolf worked as manager of the SSV unit Weißenfels or its successor team Mitteldeutscher BC . He founded a consulting firm for basketball players and coaches.
