Ingrid Hemmer

Ingrid Hemmer (born April 23, 1954 ) is a German geographer and has been professor for geography didactics at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt since 1991 .

Career

After studying geography, German and Nordic studies at the University of Münster , Hemmer passed the first state examination in 1978 and completed the legal clerkship for high school teaching from 1979 to 1981. The second state examination followed in 1981.

Hemmer first worked as a teacher at a grammar school from 1981 to 1982 and in the same year took up a position as a research assistant / university assistant at the University of Münster at the Institute for Didactics of Geography. Her doctorate followed in 1984 at the University of Bamberg with a dissertation on the development and structure of the reindeer industry in Finnmark and Troms / Northern Norway.Hemmer then took up a position at the University of Augsburg as a temporary academic adviser and taught part-time from 1988 to 1990 at Lessing high school in Neu-Ulm . In 1990 she qualified as a professor on the subject of studies on research propaedeutic work in geography lessons at the upper level and in 1991 accepted a position at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt (KU). From 1996 to 1997 she taught part-time at the Lessing-Gymnasium in Neu-Ulm.
