Ingrid Ostermann

Ingrid Ostermann (* 1968 ) is a German architect and specialist author.

Life

Ingrid Ostermann studied architecture at the Technical University of Hanover and the Technical University of Delft . She received her diploma in Delft with a research project on the Dutch architect Hermann Friedrich Mertens . This was followed by a Research Fellowship at the Technical University of Delft from 2003 to 2004 and the award of the Theodor Fischer Prize for her doctorate there as a doctor of engineer (Dr.-Ing.) With a dissertation on the subject of factory construction and modernity ( Factory Building and the Modern Movement) in 2005.

From 2003 to 2005 Ingrid Ostermann was a research assistant in the Department of History and Theory of Architecture (GTA) at the Technical University of Darmstadt and published several publications on scientific topics.

Ostermann lives and works in Amsterdam . Her main areas of work include industrial construction and industrial monument preservation, architecture and its development in the 20th century, as well as research on modern architects in Europe and in exile.
