Ingrid Pietrzynski

Ingrid Pietrzynski (* 1947 ) is a German media sociologist and historian.

Life

After studying German, English and sociology in East Berlin , Ingrid Pietrzynski worked for the sociological research department of the GDR radio . From 1988 to 1991 she worked in the editing department for radio history and the historical archive at Funkhaus Berlin. Since 1992 she has been working in the historical archive of the German Broadcasting Archive (DRA).

Pietrzynski is known for numerous publications on German broadcasting history. Her CD editions about the singer Ernst Busch and the writers Hermann Kasack and Pablo Neruda are particularly popular . Ernst Schumacher describes her as "the best expert on the history of GDR radio".
