Innocent ( Japanese イ ノ サ ン , Inosan , French for "innocent") is a manga series by Shin'ichi Sakamoto , which was published from 2013 to 2015 in Japan. A continuation of the Seinen series has appeared as Innocent Rouge since 2015 . It has been published in German since 2017.
action
Charles Henri Sanson grew up as the son of the Paris executioner in France in the mid-18th century. Because of his father, he is not accepted at any school and everyone shuns him. And finally he should take over the office of his father, which the boy is reluctant to do. The cold-hearted father uses torture to force the son to submit to his fate and prepare for the future role of executioner. When Charles is supposed to behead a lion to show his skills at the feast of the Count of Chartois, he refuses to kill an innocent animal. This earned him respect from the audience at the festival - also from the Count's son, in whom Charles hopes to have found a friend. However, his first real duty is to execute the count's son.
