Bishop Innocent of Mevania (lat. Innocentius Mevaniae or Innocentius Mivanatum ) is documented as Bishop of Bevagna in the years 499 and 501 .

He is listed with 70 other bishops as participants in the Synod of Rome on March 1, 499. He also took part with 75 other bishops on October 23, 501 at another synod in Rome . The synods, under the leadership of Pope Symmachus, passed new regulations that were intended to prevent the double election of two popes in the future . In the previous year, 498, there was a schism in the election of Symmachus , since the defeated candidate Laurentius was supported by the Byzantine side as an antipope until 505 .
