Inovallée

The Inovallée is a French technology center near Grenoble . It was created in 1971 as one of the first French centers of this kind in the course of the design of the city's industrial park. Originally founded under the name ZIRST (Zone pour l'innovation et les réalisations scientifiques et techniques), the name was changed to Inovallée in 2005 (from innovation and vallée , valley, after the American Silicon Valley ). The Inovallée is in the territory of the municipalities of Meylan and Montbonnot . Around 380 companies such as B. Orange and Sun Microsystems with a total of 12,000 employees. The technology center is connected to the A41 autoroute with its own motorway exit .
