Meylan is a French municipality with 17,129 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . Meylan is the capital of the canton of the same name .
geography
The municipality is located east of Grenoble , in the Vallée du Grésivaudan . The Isère River flows through it. The municipality is partly in the Chartreuse Regional Nature Park .
