Noyarey is a French commune with 2,223 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . Administratively it is assigned to the canton of Fontaine-Vercors (until 2015: canton of Fontaine-Sassenage ) and the Arrondissement of Grenoble . The inhabitants are called Nucérétain (e) s .

geography

Noyarey is located about eleven kilometers northwest of Grenoble on the Isère . Noyarey is surrounded by the neighboring communities Veurey-Voroize in the north and northwest, Voreppe in the northeast, Fontanil-Cornillon in the east, Saint-Égrève in the southeast, Sassenage in the south and southeast, Engins in the south and Autrans in the southwest.

Parts of the municipality belong to the Vercors Regional Nature Park .
