The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Grenoble and belongs to the canton of Tullins (until 2015: canton of Rives ). The inhabitants are called Réaumontois .

Réaumont is about 25 kilometers northwest of Grenoble . The river Fure limits the community in the northwest. Réaumont is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Blaise-du-Buis in the north, La Murette in the north-east, Saint-Cassien in the east, Moirans in the south and south-east, Charnècles in the south and Rives in the west and south-west.

The A48 autoroute runs through the municipality .
