Oz is a French commune in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Grenoble and the Canton of Oisans-Romanche . The people of Oz call themselves Oziers .

location

Oz is located about 25 kilometers (as the crow flies) east of Grenoble on the Lac du Verney reservoir , which is endowed by the Eau d'Olle river and its tributaries. The community has a winter station in Oz-en-Oisans, which is located in the Grandes-Rousses massif.
