The Strada Statale 40 di Resia (SS 40) is an Italian state road that was laid down in 1928 between Spondinig and the border with Austria on the Reschen Pass , where the federal road 180 (until 1971 B187) connects to Landeck . It goes back to a section of the Strada nazionale 25 established in 1923. Its length is 31 kilometers. Because the road leads to the Reschenpass, the SS 40 was given the title di Resia when it was determined .
