Séchilienne is a French commune with 1,052 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the Arrondissement Grenoble , the canton Oisans-Romanche (until 2015: Canton Vizille ) and the municipal association Grenoble Alpes Métropole . The inhabitants are called Séchiliennois or Chichilins .
geography
Séchilienne is about 18 kilometers southeast of Grenoble . The Romanche River limits the municipality to the south. Séchilienne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Vaulanveys-le-Bas in the north and north-west, Vaulnaveys-le-Haut and Chamrousse in the north and north-east, Livet-et-Gavet in the east, Saint-Barthélemy-de-Séchilienne in the south and Vizille in the north-west.
