Domène is a French municipality with 6745 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Grenoble in the canton of Meylan . The inhabitants are called Domenois (es) .

geography

Domène is located in the valley of Grésivaudan on the Isère , on the flank of the Belledonne mountain range and about ten kilometers north of Grenoble .

Domène is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Saint-Ismier in the north, Le Versoud in the northeast, Saint-Jean-le-Vieux in the east, Revel in the southeast, Murianette in the south, Meylan in the west and Montbonnot-Saint-Martin in the northwest.

Here the Doménon flows into the Isère.
