geography
Coublevie is located about 25 kilometers north of Grenoble on the edge of the Chartreuse Regional Nature Park . Coublevie is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Nicolas-de-Macherin in the north and north-west, Saint-Étienne-de-Crossey in the north and north-east, La Sure-en-Chartreuse in the east, La Buisse in the south, Saint-Jean-de- Moirans in the southwest and Voiron in the west.
history
From 1827 to 1903 the monastery Sainte Croix Beauregard of the Carthusian women was located here.
