Saint-Gervais is a French municipality with 549 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Rhône-Alpes ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Grenoble and the canton of Le Sud Grésivaudan ( canton of Vinay until 2015 ). The inhabitants are called Saint-Gervaisiens .

geography

Saint-Gervais is located about 19 kilometers west of Grenoble on the Isère , which borders the municipality in the north. The municipality is also part of the Vercors Regional Nature Park . Saint-Gervais is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Rivière in the north and northeast, Autrans in the east, Rencurel in the south, Rovon in the west and south-west and L'Albenc in the north-west.
