Mizoën is a French commune in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Rhône-Alpes ). The municipality, which belongs to the Arrondissement of Grenoble and the canton of Oisans-Romanche (until 2015 Le Bourg-d'Oisans ), has 191 (as of January 1, 2017) inhabitants, who are called Mizoënnais .

geography

Mizoën is located about 36 kilometers east-southeast of Grenoble on the Romanche , which is dammed up here to form Lac du Chambon . Mizoën is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Besse in the north, La Grave in the east, Les Deux-Alpes in the south, Le Freney-d'Oisans in the west and Clavans-en-Haut-Oisans in the west and northwest.
