La Flachère is a French municipality with 490 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes ; it belongs to the Arrondissement of Grenoble and the Canton of Haut-Grésivaudan (until 2015: Canton Le Touvet ). The inhabitants are called Flachèrois .

La Flachère is located about 28 kilometers northeast of Grenoble in the Grésivaudan countryside . La Flachère is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Barraux in the north, La Buissière in the east and northeast, Sainte-Marie-d'Alloix in the southeast, Saint-Vincent-de-Mercuze in the south and Sainte-Marie-du-Mont in the west.
