Auberives-en-Royans is a French municipality with 376 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Rhône-Alpes ); it belongs to the Arrondissement of Grenoble and the canton of Le Sud Grésivaudan (until 2015 Pont-en-Royans ). The inhabitants are called Auberivains or Albaripains .

Auberives-en-Royans is about 36 kilometers west-southwest of Grenoble on the Bourne . The municipality belongs to the Vercors Regional Nature Park . Auberives-en-Royans is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-André-en-Royans in the north and northeast, Pont-en-Royans in the east, Saint-Laurent-en-Royans in the south and southeast, and Saint-Thomas-en-Royans in the South and south-west and Saint-Just-de-Claix to the west and north-west.
