La Combe-de-Lancey is located about thirteen kilometers east-northeast of Grenoble in a valley of the Grésivaudan . La Combe-de-Lancey is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Villard-Bonnot in the north, Saint-Mury-Monteymond in the east and northeast, Revel in the south and west, Saint-Jean-le-Vieux in the west and Le Versoud in the west and northwest.
