NGC 920 is a barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBab in the constellation Andromeda in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 283 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 125,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 933 and IC 1799 , among others .
The object was by astronomer A. Swift Lewis on September 11, 1885 using a 16-inch - telescope discovered.
