NGC 909 is an elliptical galaxy from the Hubble type E0 in the constellation Andromeda the northern sky . It is estimated 228 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 60,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 906 , NGC 910 , NGC 911 , NGC 914 .
The object was discovered on October 30, 1878 by Édouard Stephan .
