NGC 924 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Aries on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 203 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 135,000 ly.
The galaxy belongs to the NGC 932 group with NGC 930 , NGC 935 , NGC 938 and IC 1801 .
The object was by astronomer William Herschel using on 29 November 1785 of a 18.7-inch - telescope discovered.
