NGC 941 is a barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBc in the constellation Triangle in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 72 million light years from the Milky Way and about 55,000 light years in diameter. The galaxies NGC 926 , NGC 934 , NGC 936 , NGC 955 are located in the same area of the sky .
The type IIP supernova SN 2005ad was observed here.
The property was designed by the astronomer William Herschel using on 6 January 1785 of a 18.7-inch - telescope discovered.
