NGC 926 is a bar-spiral galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type SBbc in the constellation Whale south of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 288 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 150,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 934 and NGC 936 .
The property was built in 1876 by the astronomer Wilhelm Tempel using a 28.3-cm - telescope discovered.
